Ok, first...if you heart The Sound of Music as I do, then you will love this....seriously, what could be better?


Next, Bakerella does it every time. She is awesome...and I want to make these this weekend just for the heck of it!

Things I want today..

Summer is just so easy when it comes to getting dressed in the morning...and thanks to Victoria's Secret I now wish I had these to add to my wardrobe for the next few months.....ahhh, so much better than snow boots and North Face fleeces.

DIY Goodness

Just a cool idea to share....I am really loving silhouettes right now, well, really always have, but anyway I saw this on Readymade.com and loved it...soooo easy to do! So just snap some shots off of your fav. people, cut them out, and turn them over, paste and PRESTO! Really, what could be easier or cooler, and cheap to do?! Happy Monday!

So, I have stumbled upon a fun shop, that I would love to spend some money in....but until then, here are a few things I think are too cool for school..

I may have to get this ring for myself and my sisters...too cute!

Feel Good

I came across this shop and I LOVED her idea of a feelgood list. I love lists...even if I never complete everything on a given day, there is something in me that just loves writing things down and crossing them off....cheap thrills, right?!
You can buy them from her and she will customize them for you...or you could just make your own and save $20 :)
I am all over this one....especially the fruits and veggies, and laughing with my hubby bullet points.


On another feel good note, I bought these two little "grow kits" from the dollar spot at TARGET a while back, and they are starting to sprout!! One will hopefully be a strawberry plant, and one is an assortment of flowers. I can't wait for them to keep growing, and then hopefully move them into our quasi-garden. Paige has gotten a real thrill from seeing the little sprouts pop up.


Paige has two new tag lines she drops whenever possible...even though they are rarely relevant...she likes to say "Life is not fair", and "that's not true"...pretty silly coming out of this little face!

Date Night

Justin and I went on a date this weekend for the first time in 11 months? BAD, I know, but it has been such a challenge for us....bed rest, new baby....I know things will get better as River gets older. It was a HUGE deal to leave River for the first time...but I am glad we just went ahead and did it, especially with Justin having been gone 2 out of the last 4 months. We went to this great little place called the Steelhead Grill, and it was so much fun. We both felt a little naked without a kid ON us...but it was fun to hold hands and not have to wipe any body's nose for 2 hours. I really believe in date night...and can't wait for it to be a regular occurrence.

Style Swap

I had the itch to throw a party while Justin was gone...just a girly girl thing, so I came up with a Style Swap. I invited some great girls and asked them to bring some clothes, jewelry, shoes, purses, etc. that maybe they don't wear anymore, or that they wouldn't mind trading for something else. Everyone that came brought a ton of stuff to trade, and we went around letting everyone pick an item at a time. Stealing was allowed, just like in a White Elephant party, but these girls were all too nice to do it.....maybe there was one or two steals! Everyone left with at least one great outfit....but most left with a full bag of stuff!!! It was so much fun, and the best part was that we got new clothes without spending any money! You know the husbands appreciate that! We are going to do this again, and will more than likely do it quarterly or so, it was such a hit! I just made raviolis, green beans w/ garlic, cheese twists, and lots of treats. The treat bags were filled with cosmetic samples from Sephora, and delicios chocolates from Ghirardelli. Since I have such an addiction to ordering from Sephora.com, I had enough samples to give everyone 2!These pictures are just from this morning as no photos were taken at the party...I guess we were all having too much fun to do that!
